Editor's note: Take a look back into The Dallas Morning News archives.Hurricane Alisha ripped through the Gulf Coast and hit land Aug. 18, 1983. Though most of the damage was concentrated in Galveston and Houston, Alicia's effects could be felt in North Texas.
