Flashback: DART Creation Opened Doors to Mobility in 1983

Editor's note: Take a look back into The Dallas Morning News archives.Hopping on the DART bus or train and going about the day is routine for some. But before 1983, the convenience of large-scale public transportation wasn't an option. The Dallas Area Rapid Transit system was officially created in 34 years ago this August when 13 area cities approved the plan.
