Flashback: Cowboys Called Out to Look for Missing Man in Mexico

The tragic disappearance of Elijah Hernandez is another entry in the history of Dallasites going missing in Mexico.Like Elijah, Henry Taylor disappeared in the vast deserts of Mexico. In Taylor's case, however, the governments of Mexico and the U.S. mounted a robust search effort — including teams of cowboys.In 1932, Henry P. Taylor traveled to Mexico to look at some mining properties. These trips often took him off the grid and out of communication, but after several weeks, his brother became concerned. While the governments of Mexico and the U.S. teamed up to look for the missing man, George Houghton of the Corralitos Ranch sent his "force of cowboys" to join the search.  Continue reading...
