A Dallas firefighter was hospitalized early Monday after battling a one-alarm fire in southeast Dallas early Monday.The fire was reported about 3:30 a.m. at a vacant home in the 550 block of Neomi Avenue, Dallas Fire-Rescue said in a news release.The fire engulfed the home by the time crews arrived. During the hour that it took to extinguish the flames, a firefighter had to be taken to a hospital for hand burns, officials said.The cause of the fire was under investigation.
