Fire, Loud Boom Reported at Asphalt Facility in Ellis County

This breaking news story will be updated.A fire and a loud, explosion-like boom were reported in Ellis County on Friday night.Fire crews were fighting a blaze at the U.S. Polyco building on Interstate 45 in Ennis, near National Drive, shortly after some residents reported hearing and feeling an explosion around 7:30 p.m.Ennis Mayor Angie Juenemann posted on Facebook that an "asphalt rail container blew its top causing the loud boom."
