One person was killed early Saturday in a crash involving a pickup and an 18-wheeler on Interstate 45 north of Corsicana. The crash happened about 2:15 a.m. near Alma. The 18-wheeler, loaded with roofing material, caught fire and burned for several hours.Several southbound lanes of the freeway were expected to be shut down through at least midday Saturday, KTVT-TV (Channel 11) reported.Officials at the scene confirmed the crash was fatal, but have not yet responded to a request for additional information.
