Fatal Irving Crash Closes All Eastbound Lanes on Highway 114

A fatal crash closed all eastbound lanes on State Highway 114 in Irving on Tuesday afternoon,. The wreck occurred around 12:30 p.m. near the Bush Turnpike when a car slammed into the divider between the HOV lane and the rest of the highway, killing the driver, police said. No one else was in the vehicle.All eastbound traffic is being forced to exit the highway while officers investigate, and police are urging drivers to take alternate routes. The cause of the crash is unknown, and police expect the highway to be closed for at least another hour while the investigation and cleanup continue.  Continue reading...
