Family Disputes Police Account of Fatal Shooting During Arlington Traffic Stop

The family of an Arlington man fatally shot by Arlington police during a traffic stop earlier this month is disputing authorities' version of events and asking police to let them see dashboard-camera footage of the incident.Tavis Crane, 23, was shot multiple times late Feb. 1 and died at an Arlington hospital. An Arlington officer, Cpl. Elise Bowden, was injured during the incident when Crane ran over her. Police say Bowden stopped Crane around 11:40 p.m. Feb. 1 in the 1700 block of Spring Lake Drive, near North Fielder Road, and called for backup.  Continue reading...
