‘Fabricated Evidence' Used Against Ex-cop Accused of Murder in Teen's Shooting, Defense Says

The case against a former Farmers Branch police officer accused of murder is "embarrassing and pathetic," a defense attorney told jurors before they began deliberations Monday.Tim Menchu and Robert Rogers, the former officer's attorneys, didn't call any witnesses in the final day of the guilt-innocence portion of the trial for 37-year-old Ken Johnson but argued the charge was based on "fabricated evidence."
