Ex-TCU Football Players RISE Along With Revamped Duncanville Fieldhouse

DUNCANVILLE — Terrence and Tim Maiden helped put TCU football on the map. Now they're trying to do the same for the Duncanville Fieldhouse.The twin brothers have partnered with the fieldhouse to open RISE Clothing, a brand of athletic gear that marks the building's first stab at bringing in retail dollars."This is just the tip of the iceberg," fieldhouse General Manager Craig Brasfield said. "There will be a lot more [retail] on the way."Tim, a banker, and Terrence, a commercial real estate developer, created their brand of "athleisure" wear — their term — in 2015 and from the beginning were in talks with fieldhouse operators on a variety of fronts.Philanthropic outlookAfter a couple of years of wrangling, RISE Clothing is the first thing visitors see when they come through the main entrance. Though the store is open now, it's a "very soft opening while we try to make sure all of our bar codes are working," Terrence Maiden said.The brothers' big push will begin in January when basketball tournament season swings into high gear.  Continue reading...
