Ex-Forney High School Athletics Director Charged With Failing to Report Sex Assaults, Hazing

The former athletics director and football coach at Forney High School was arrested Tuesday on charge of failure to report a hazing scandal on the school's soccer team that involved allegations of sexual assault.Kevin Martin Rush, 58, was booked into the Van Zandt County jail after turning himself in to authorities and has since been released.Officials say soccer coach Kristopher Duplissey, who was arrested on the same charge last month, notified Rush of the hazing allegations in January 2017, according to documents found in Rush's email.Educators are required to report suspected abuse within 48 hours, but Kaufman County sheriff's deputies weren't informed of the accusations until January 2018.The Kaufman County Sheriff's Office issued the warrant for Rush on Monday, spokeswoman Jolie Stewart said.  Continue reading...
