European Wax Center Moves 100 Jobs, Headquarters to Plano's Granite Park

European Wax Center is moving its corporate headquarters and 100 jobs to Plano from its home base in south Florida and a marketing office in New York City.The beauty brand will go into space at Granite Park, one of the Collin County community's prime business centers. "We are in the midst of accelerated growth," said CEO David Berg in a statement. "The greater Dallas area strengthens our ability to attract and retain top talent from around the country and makes our corporate staff more accessible to our franchise network, regional field teams, vendors and industry stakeholders."European Wax Center operates 84 franchise locations in Texas, including 27 in Dallas-Fort Worth. Founded in 2004, it sells waxing services and skin care, body and brow beauty products at its 700 centers nationally.Plano Mayor Harry LaRosiliere said he expects about half of the 100 jobs to be filled locally. The company will close its Hallandale Beach, Fla., and New York City offices by the end of the year. It said it's offered positions in Texas to employees in both locations.European Wax Center said it recently strengthened its executive team with two new hires from North Texas. Chris Kobus, former chief marketing officer for Denton-based Sally Beauty, joined the company as chief experience officer. Jyoti Lynch, who previously worked at Frisco-based Jamba Juice, became chief information officer.
