Employee at Texas IHOP Claims Break-room Food Was Tainted With Meth, Police Say

An Abilene woman believes she was poisoned after medical officials found methamphetamine in her blood following a meal at IHOP.Abilene police said the woman reported feeling sick Thursday morning after eating free food available for employees at the IHOP where she works. The woman, whose name was not released, told police she felt under the influence for a few days, something authorities say is common after meth use.The woman told police she went to her doctor and later the emergency room for treatment. Blood tests revealed the meth in her system, which the woman said had to be from the food because she does not use drugs.Officer Adam Becker said authorities have not verified the woman's allegations.
