El Paso Suspect's Mother Called Allen Police Weeks Before Massacre, Worried About His Rifle

Weeks before a mass shooting that killed 22 people Saturday in El Paso, the 21-year-old suspect's mother called Allen police when she found out her son possessed a rifle.Dallas attorney Chris Ayres said the call was made but wouldn't provide more details, The Associated Press reports. Another attorney, R. Jack Ayres, told CNN that Patrick Crusius' mother contacted the Allen Police Department to ask about an "AK" type firearm that Crusius owned.The attorneys didn't mention the mother by name and said she didn't think her son posed a threat at the time she made the call.The woman also didn't leave her or her son's name with police, the attorneys said.  Continue reading...
