East Texas Man Faces Sex Assault Case After Trooper Finds Child Porn During Traffic Stop

A Nacogdoches man was arrested last week on charges of sexual assault of a child and possession of child pornography after a traffic stop in December.Christopher Scott Sanders, 31, came under investigation Dec. 27 after a highway patrol trooper stopped him in Brownsboro, the Department of Public Safety announced Thursday. The trooper found nude photos of what appeared to be a child in his possession, the agency wrote in a Facebook post. After the traffic stop, the trooper alerted DPS special agents, who investigated Sanders and found evidence that he sexually assaulted a child in the fall of 2016, according to the department.
