DWI Suspect Fled After Hitting Deputies' Squad Cars in Crash on I-35E, Authorities Say

A driver is facing charges after authorities say he fled the scene where he struck two Dallas County sheriff's deputies' vehicles early Sunday morning.The two deputies were blocking the left lanes of northbound Interstate 35E near West Louisiana Avenue just before 12:30 a.m., when the driver of a pickup truck hit both squad cars. The driver, 39-year-old James Supplee, was later caught by Dallas police. He was booked into the Dallas County Jail on two counts of accident involving injury and one charge of driving while intoxicated. No bail amount had been set Sunday morning.  Continue reading...
