Drug Dog Sniffs Out $2.1 Million in Cocaine at Texas Border Checkpoint

A drug dog helped Border Patrol agents find more than $2 million of cocaine hidden in a vehicle in South Texas over the weekend.The dog alerted agents to a gray pickup at the Falfurrias checkpoint on Sunday afternoon. During a search of the pickup, agents found more than two dozen bundles of cocaine hidden in the quarter panels.In all, 65 pounds of cocaine — worth an estimated $2.1 million — was recovered. Authorities also seized the pickup.The driver, an adult male, was arrested. The Border Patrol does not release information on detainees.   Continue reading...
