Drug Dealer Gets 19 Years for Shooting Up Oak Cliff Neighborhood in Attack on Undercover Officers

A Dallas man who fired at officers with an AK-47 in 2015 as they fled for their lives has been sentenced to nearly 20 years in federal prison.Edgar Solorzano, 24, was sentenced Monday to 231 months in prison. He pleaded guilty in April to two counts of assault on a federal officer, one count of using a firearm during a violent crime and one count of possession of drugs with the intent to distribute.Solorzano's cousin Victor Solorzano, 32, was under investigation for trafficking methamphetamine when the incident occurred in November 2015.
