DPS Closes Cedar Hill Driver's License Office, Shifts Staff to Dallas-South Center

The state's driver's license office in Cedar Hill will close its doors for the last time Friday as part of a cost-cutting plan to consolidate services in South Dallas.Staff and resources at the center on West Belt Line Road will be transferred to the Dallas-South Driver's License Center, which offers a larger range of services and shorter wait times, according to the Department of Public Safety. The move will cut costs, improve efficiency and fully staff the larger office, which opened in 2015 on the Interstate 20 access road near the Interstate 35E interchange, off exit 418B.   Continue reading...
