Downtown Dallas Tower Attracts Two New Office Tenants

A downtown Dallas skyscraper has landed two new office tenants.CBRE announces two new leases at 717 Harwood, a 34-story Class A office tower adjacent to the Dallas Arts District.Roofstock Inc., a financial technology company, has leased 10,038 square feet in the 34-story 717 Harwood tower.And the American College of Education Inc. took 6,011 square feet in the office high-rise.California-based Roofstock invests in leased single-family rental homes, with properties in 13 states. The company and subsidiary, Streetlane, will consolidate operations into the new space in April."Roofstock needed space that encourages inspiration, collaboration, and creativity," Frank McCafferty with Savills Studley said in a statement. "They found it at 717 Harwood."Thom Ridnour and Fletcher Cordell with CBRE negotiated the lease with McCafferty.Indianapolis-based American College of Education is an online college specializing programs in education, leadership, healthcare and nursing. The company will open the new downtown location in March.Brooke Armstrong and Scott Hage with JLL negotiated the lease.The 717 Harwood building is owned by Austin-based World Class Property Co. and was recently on-site dining, a fitness center, second floor lounge and meeting rooms. The 844,326 square foot tower was built in 1980.During the fourth quarter of 2018 downtown Dallas was north Texas' top office market, with more than 350,000 square feet of net leasing.  Continue reading...
