Down to the Wire, Developers Racing to Finish $3 Billion Legacy West

With only two months to go before the grand opening, construction workers are in a race to finish the Legacy West Urban Village in Plano."The Boeing sign is going to go right there," said Fehmi Karahan, developer of the $400 million mixed-use project, which just scored a new high-profile office tenant, Boeing's global services division.The new division of the aerospace giant will move into the fifth floor of the building at Legacy Drive and the Dallas North Tollway later this year.While only a few dozen Boeing professionals will be housed in the offices, which are on top of a street of restaurants and storefronts, attracting a Fortune top 50 firm like Boeing just adds to the success of Legacy West."The prestige of getting Boeing is just incredible," said Karahan, walking through the top floor office suite the company is renting.One side of the new office looks down the length of Legacy West's retail street.
