DNA From Shirt Left Near Crime Scene Leads to Man's Arrest in Wife's Slaying, Dallas Police Say

DNA testing and surveillance video led authorities to arrest a man accused of killing his 22-year-old wife in east Oak Cliff earlier this month. Marcos Flores-Rodriguez, 25, was arrested Saturday by the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, Dallas police said. He faces a murder charge in connection with the slaying of his wife, Diana Garcia. Flores-Rodriguez was booked Saturday afternoon into the Dallas County Jail, where his bail is set at $250,000 for the murder charge. Jail records show he also has an immigration hold.Officers were called the morning of July 13 to the 2300 block of Maryland Avenue, where Garcia was found shot to death inside her car.
