Dirt Flies on Dallas' Knox Street With New Restoration Hardware Project

One of the busiest corners along Dallas' Knox Street is about to get even busier.Instead of shoppers, the activity will come from construction workers.Demolition crews have begun knocking down the half block at the southeast corner of Knox and Cole Avenue to make way for a new retail and restaurant project.Retailer Restoration Hardware is replacing its long-time store on the block with a 3-story retail building with a restaurant on the top floor. The more than 100,000-square-foot project will also include a parking garage, according to building permits.The Cole Avenue side of the project will get an additional four floors above the parking garage to house a "guest house."The popular home furnishings and accessories retailer has been replacing its traditional storefronts in some markets with multi-level RH Gallery projects that include furnishings, home products and food and beverage.One of the newest such locations opened last summer in Nashville and includes 70,000 square feet of retail space on four levels.  Continue reading...
