Did Texas Southern Violate a Lawmaker's Right to Free Speech? Its Law School Dean Thinks So

AUSTIN — The dean of Texas Southern University's law school is investigating why the campus president shut down a Republican lawmaker's speech to a student group this week. James Douglas, interim dean of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at TSU, told The Dallas Morning News he's looking into why Deer Park Rep. Briscoe Cain's appearance was suddenly canceled after protesters showed up at the event Monday.
