Departing Flights Grounded at DFW Airport Because of Thunderstorms

Federal aviation officials have issued a ground stop for flights departing DFW Airport this morning. Flights won't be able to take off until after 7:30 a.m., the FAA said on its website. Travelers should check with their airline for updated departure times, the FAA said.The ground stop doesn't affect arriving flights. The FAA's website showed delays were just 15 minutes or less for arrivals.Meanwhile, in Denton County, the A-train commuter rail was experiencing delays because of a signal issue. The Denton County Transportation Authority said passengers should expect significant delays during the morning commute.Our partners at KXAS-TV (NBC 5) report there is a 60 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms for the day.
