Denton County Sergeant Arrested, Charged With Online Solicitation of a Minor

A Denton County Sheriff's Office patrol sergeant was arrested Tuesday and charged with online solicitation of a minor, authorities said.Sgt. West Jordan was arrested after an investigation was conducted by the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and the Texas Department of Public Safety, according to a release from the Denton County Sheriff's Office."I am shocked and ashamed by the arrest of one of our own for such a horrible crime," said Denton County Sheriff Tracy Murphree in the release. "He has brought dishonor to his profession and to this office. He has been terminated and we are cooperating fully with the investigation.Murphree said he's thankful the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office was able to "get a predator off the street."
