Denton County Finds Man Guilty, Now Can't Find Man

On Tuesday, a Denton County jury found a defendant guilty of assault.Now, if they can only find the defendant.According to a post on the Denton County District Attorney's Facebook page, Jeffery Perkins is on the loose after fleeing while the jury, which had already convicted him, had taken a lunch break.When the jury returned to begin the punishment phase of trial, it was discovered that "the defendant did not return from the lunch break," the post read.In his absence, Perkins was sentenced to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine.
