Democrats' House Campaign Arm Opens Office in Austin, Signaling Texas' Emergence as Battleground

WASHINGTON — The Democrats' House campaign arm is setting up shop in Austin.The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee on Tuesday announced it will open a satellite office in the Texas capital, providing a centralized perch from which to challenge Republican lawmakers in the six districts the group has identified as pickup opportunities.That kind of investment will build upon the DCCC's earlier decision to put staffers on the ground in key Texas suburbs, including those in the Dallas area."When it comes to places where House Democrats can go on offense, it doesn't get any bigger than Texas," Rep.
