Decomposed Body Described as ‘almost a Skeleton’ Found in Denton Storage Unit Due to Foul Odor

After a report of a "foul odor" near a vacant Denton music venue, authorities discovered a decomposed body in a storage unit Wednesday afternoon. Officers responded to the building in the 400 block of East Sycamore Street, close to the shuttered Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios, after a call about 12:40 p.m., The Denton Record-Chronicle reports. Police, who described the body as "almost a skeleton," told The Record-Chronicle that it didn't have identifiable wounds that would make investigators suspect foul play. The person has not yet been identified and their cause of death is not known. "They'd been in there for a long time," Denton police spokesman Shane Kizer said.
