DART Officer Hospitalized After Being Hit by Driver Who Ran Red Light in Downtown Dallas

A Dallas Area Rapid Transit officer was hit by a driver who ran a red light in downtown Dallas Tuesday morning.Mark Ball, a spokesperson for DART, said the officer was struck about 7 a.m. at the intersection of South Market and Commerce Streets.The officer was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.Authorities have not released the condition of either party involved in the accident, and it is unclear if the driver will face criminal charges.  Continue reading...
