Dan Patrick Needs to Keep His Nose Out of Dallas' Business — and Bathrooms

No one I spoke with about Senate Bill 6 -- you know it best as The Bathroom Bill -- believes it will become a law once the state Legislature gets through with it. Not the local gay rights activists; not the City Council members; not the mayor of Dallas. As far as the Resource Center's longtime chief Cece Cox is concerned, the proposed legislation intended to keep transgender people out of bathrooms corresponding to their gender identity "is a complete and total waste of time" that exists mostly to "spin up hate and dollars for fringe politicians."
