Dallas Woman Who Discovered Her Dad Is Really Her Mom's Doctor Wants to Make Fertility Fraud a Crime

Update at 9:51 a.m., May 3, 2019, to include trailer for ABC '20/20' program airing at 9 p.m. CT May 3AUSTIN -- Eve Wiley says a fertility doctor inseminated her mother with his own sperm rather than just the sperm of the donor her mother selected.That ought to be a crime, Wiley says.She is doing everything she can to make it one.Wiley, 31, a stay at home mom and licensed professional counselor from Preston Hollow, has visited more than 20 legislative offices in recent weeks to press for passage of bills that would make it a sexual assault offense if a health care provider implants human sperm, eggs or embryos from an unauthorized donor."It's really important to protect vulnerable people," she told The Dallas Morning News. "You spend a lot of time with those doctors. There's a lot of trust. You are trusting them and you are incredibly vulnerable."  Continue reading...
