Dallas Seeks ‘inspirational' Police Chief to Lead a Department That's Bleeding Blue

The city's pursuit of a new police chief has finally begun. The Dallas Police Department has been in limbo since October, when then-Chief David Brown retired and Executive Assistant Chief David Pughes took over as the interim police chief.This week, a job posting for the department's top cop showed up on the Ralph Anderson & Associates website. Sacramento, Calif. and the University of California at Davis have also hired the firm to help them find police chiefs.The requirements Applicants must have at least seven years of experience in the command staff of a large municipal police department, the job listing says.
