Dallas Schools Trustee to Remain on Board ‘until Further Notice’

Jaime Resendez will remain on the Dallas ISD school board though it's unclear for how long. Last week, questions arose about the trustee's eligibility because a home in his name is located just a few blocks outside of the District 4 area he was elected to serve. Friday Resendez sent The Dallas Morning News a message saying, "I have been notified by the district that I'm required to serve until further notice." He has not returned messages seeking elaboration. Dallas school district officials did not respond to requests seeking clarification.Resendez did not address concerns about where he lives during Thursday's board meeting.
