Dallas Police Recommend Murder Charge Against Farmers Branch Officer Who Shot Man in Stolen Pickup

Dallas police are recommending a murder charge against a Farmers Branch officer who fatally shot a man driving a stolen pickup last week. Johnny Moreno, 35, was killed June 12 after a Farmers Branch officer opened fire when Moreno attempted to flee police in northwest Dallas.Because the shooting happened within the city of Dallas, officers with the Dallas Police Department's Special Investigations Unit led the investigation.
