A Dallas police officer was arrested Wednesday and placed on administrative leave, police say. Senior Cpl. Jeremy Courson, 43, was taken into custody by Mansfield police and booked into the Mansfield jail, police said. He was charged with aggravated assault against a family member, according to jail records. No further details were available. His bail has not been set. Courson, who is assigned to detention services, has been with the department since August 2009. He has been placed on administrative leading pending an internal affairs administrative investigation.
