Dallas Police Officer Arrested on Family Violence Charges

A Dallas police officer was arrested on family violence charges by his own department on Saturday.Officer Richard Council, who has been with the department for three years, was arrested by Dallas officers on charges of family violence and interference with an emergency call.He was in custody in the Dallas County Jail.Council, who is assigned to the Northwest Patrol Division, is on administrative leave and faces an Internal Affairs investigation, a department spokesman said.No other information was available.  Continue reading...
