Dallas Police Honor July 7 Victims, Others Slain in Line of Duty at Annual Memorial

The Dallas Police Department today is marking the first Police Memorial Day since five officers were gunned down in the July 7 ambush.A march will kick off the commemoration just before noon starting at Griffin and Young streets and ending at the memorial site at Griffin and Akard streets.Police officers will join family and friends of the victims — four Dallas officers and a DART policeman — along with other city officials and Dallas residents.After the march, a memorial service will be held at noon outside City Hall at Young and Marilla streets.  Continue reading...
