Dallas Police: Deep Ellum Robbery Suspects Lured Victims With Marijuana, Robbed Them After They Passed Out

Police are searching for suspects in what they believe are related incidents that occurred Thursday and Sunday in Deep Ellum where victims smoked marijuana, passed out and found their property stolen once they woke up.The first offense occurred around 1:35 a.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of Elm Street, police said, when a victim was approached by two suspects who asked him to smoke what they said was marijuana.The victim agreed and lost consciousness afterward, police said. When he awoke, he noticed he was missing some personal property.The first suspect is described as a black man between 5 feet and 5-5 tall and weighing about 190 pounds. The second suspect is described as a tall, skinny black man about 6 feet tall and 170 pounds who wore a white durag.The second offense happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2500 block of Main Street and occurred under similar circumstances, police said. The victim was found unconscious by police while they patrolled in the area.A third incident happened around 3 a.m. Sunday, but no street address was given. While the victim was being treated at the scene, he realized some items had been taken from him, police said. The suspect in the second and third incidents is described as a black man between 20-30 years old, police said. The victim who was attacked on Main Street also said the suspect was wearing blue pajama pants and a gray shirt.Anyone with information or who know of any activities matching these offenses should contact Dallas police at 9-1-1.  Continue reading...
