Dallas Police and Fire Pension Board Officially Backs Proposal to Take DART Funds

The Dallas Police and Fire Pension Board of Trustees is officially asking for some of Dallas Area Rapid Transit's money, if they can get it.Council member Scott Griggs, the non-binding resolution's author, argues that the portion of sales tax sent to DART truly belongs to the taxpayers, even though the cash has been dedicated to the transit agency since voters approved DART's creation in 1983.   Continue reading...
