Dallas' Old City Hall Has Been Transformed Inside for UNT Dallas' Law School

UNT Dallas College of Law has officially made good on its long-standing plans to turn Dallas' old city hall and police headquarters into a home for the school and its students. Following $70 million of interior and exterior renovation work, the five-story former Dallas Municipal Building on South Harwood Street next to Main Street Garden Park has been redone to include classrooms, lecture halls, offices, lounge space and a courtroom. Renovations focused on preserving details from two time periods: those present when the beaux arts style structure opened in 1914, and those in place when Lee Harvey Oswald paid his visit to the building in November 1963.   Continue reading...
