Dallas Officers Fatally Shot Male After He Fired Weapon in Southeast Oak Cliff, Police Say

Dallas officers fatally shot a male who police say fired his weapon after they encountered him in southeast Oak Cliff on Saturday night.Police were flagged down after 10 p.m. in the 1900 block of E. Camp Wisdom Road about a male waving a gun at the intersection of E. Camp Wisdom Road and S. Lancaster Road. When officers arrived at the location, the male fired his weapon. Multiple officers fired back, police spokesman Sgt. Warren Mitchell said. He did not specify how many officers opened fire.The male was struck by the gunfire and later died at a hospital, police said. His name and age have not been released.No officers were injured.
