Dallas Morning News Honored for Headline Writing in ACES Contest

The Dallas Morning News won second place in the large-newspaper staff awards category of the American Copy Editors Society's annual headline contest.The award, announced Friday at ACES' annual national conference in St. Petersburg, was given for headlines written in 2016.The News won second with a staff portfolio that competed against other newspapers with circulations of more than 200,001.The editors whose work appeared in the portfolio of 10 headlines were Linda Johnson, Mark Johnson, Lauren Phillips, Frank Smith, Martha Sheridan, Tim Watterson and John Lose.   Continue reading...
