Dallas Man, 10 Others Fatally Overdosed on Fentanyl Sold by Minnesota Man, Feds Say

A Dallas man was among 11 people who died in 2016 after ingesting fentanyl sold by a 28-year-old in Minnesota, according to federal authorities.Aaron Rhy Broussard, of Hopkins, Minnesota, is facing 21 counts of charges related to the distribution of drugs including fentanyl, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Minnesota said in a news release announcing his indictment last week.Broussard is accused of shipping fentanyl to a 46-year-old man in Dallas, who received it on April 14, 2016. The man, identified in Dallas County medical examiner's office records as Craig Karp, died of an accidental fentanyl overdose a few days later.Ten of Broussard's other customers died of fentanyl overdoses, and four others suffered serious bodily injury, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.  Continue reading...
