Dallas Isn't Ready to Host the World Cup But There's Still Time to Prepare

Dallas is unprepared for the world's biggest sports event. If it intends to ever host FIFA's World Cup 2026, North Texas must first understand soccer's scope worldwide.It doesn't matter that Dallas has already hosted World Cup games. In fact, I don't think there's much reason to be proud of the 1994 experience, when many seats of the Cotton Bowl were unfilled. Hosting a World Cup requires much more than infrastructure investment in hotels and stadiums.Dallas has a lot to learn when it comes to soccer and its impressive and continuing growth in popularity. The good news here is, there's still enough time to get Dallas residents in the right mindset to host an event that captures 10 times more viewers than the Super Bowl.  Continue reading...
