Dallas-Fort Worth Will Reach the 70s Before Temperatures Take an ‘arctic Plunge’ Into the 20s

High temperatures in Dallas-Fort Worth will gradually rise from the 40s to the 70s this week before taking a nosedive this weekend.“We’ve got temperatures all over the board,” KXAS-TV (NBC5) meteorologist Grant Johnston said. High temperatures are expected to stay in the upper 40s on Monday, rising into the 50s on Tuesday, the 60s on Wednesday and Thursday, and touching the 70s on Friday, he said. The mild temperatures are far from normal for this time of the year. High temperatures in Dallas-Fort Worth during January are in the mid-50s on average, with lows in the mid-30s, according to the National Weather Service.But Johnston warned not to get used to the mild weather because an "arctic plunge" is coming over the weekend. “On Saturday, temperatures will be taking a nosedive,” he said.  Continue reading...
