Dallas-Fort Worth Could Feel Like 111 Degrees Wednesday Afternoon, Then a Cold Front Could Bring Storms

Don’t get too excited about a cold front expected to move through North Texas Wednesday.Temperatures are expected to rise into the upper-90s in Dallas-Fort Worth, but with the heat index, it will feel more like 111 degrees, according to KXAS-TV (NBC5) meteorologist Grant Johnston.Shortly before 1 p.m., the temperature at DFW International Airport had risen to 95 degrees, with a heat index of 107.North Texas is under a heat advisory through 8 p.m. Wednesday night. The advisory includes Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties.A weak cold front is expected to move through the area Wednesday evening, which will create the chance for storms in North Texas, according to Johnston.   Continue reading...
