Dallas-Fort Worth Could Be in Store for More Showers and Thunderstorms Friday and Saturday

The quick line of showers and thunderstorms that rolled through North Texas on Thursday morning could be a precursor for more to come Friday and Saturday.Dallas-Fort Worth could get showers on and off throughout Friday, according to KXAS-TV (NBC5) chief meteorologist Rick Mitchell.Rain on Friday won’t be the “all-day, every-hour type,” but Mitchell advised to prepare for a wet day. Mitchell said he believes the region will get a break from the rain Friday evening before storm chances increase again.Forecasts show the greatest threat for storms will be late Friday into early Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Some of those storms could have the potential to produce quarter-size hail, but that the greatest chances for hail will probably be east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to the weather service.  Continue reading...
