Dallas Firm's Latest Buy Makes It One of the South's Largest Private Manufacturers

Dallas-based Anchor Partners, a family office that specializes in manufacturing, is adding a metal fabricator to its growing portfolio.Its acquisition of Nashville-based Quality Industries also makes it one of the largest privately-owned manufacturing companies in the southern United States. Quality Industries will operate as a subsidiary of Anchor Partners. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.Founded in 1972, Quality Industries employs more than 400 people in facilities in Lavergne, Tennessee, and Denton, Texas, totaling 300,000 square feet of space. In 2016, the company moved 70 employees to the Denton assembly plant, which spans 86,000 square feet.Gary Carter, president of Quality Industries, described the deal in a statement as a "win-win" for the company's employees and customers."We are growing our capacity in expertise and assets, increasing production scale and volume, optimizing overhead costs, and realizing manufacturing efficiencies," Carter said.Anchor Partners' operations now span six southern states and includes Anchor Fabrication, Abby Manufacturing, Texacone and BOH Environmental.  Continue reading...
