Dallas Democratic Candidates Threatened With Ouster From March Primary Ask Court to Dismiss GOP Lawsuit

This is a developing story and will be updated.A lawyer for 14 of the 128 Democratic candidates that the Dallas County GOP is trying to have removed from the March primary ballot has asked a court to dismiss the case.According to a document filed late Monday by Austin-based lawyer Randall Wood on behalf of 14 candidates threatened with removal from the ballot, the Dallas County Republican Party and its chairwoman, Missy Shorey, have no standing to bring the suit, since they are not candidates in the election.  Continue reading...
